Senior Center Director
Salary Range: $40,237 - $50,250
Position Description:
An employee in this class is responsible for organizing and directing the activities of the senior center, including planning programs, developing resources, and supervising staff. Duties include managing the daily operations of multiple senior center locations, ensuring compliance with policies and guidelines, and actively engaging with the community to enhance service delivery. The employee must exercise independent judgment and demonstrate a good understanding of community resources, applying appropriate policies and procedures in various situations. Work requires interaction with the public, requiring courtesy, tact, and problem-solving skills. This position reports directly to the Social Services Director and is evaluated through observation, conferences, and overall effectiveness in achieving program goals.
Minimum Education and Experience: Associate degree in human services, public administration, gerontology, or a related field, and one year of experience in aging services, human services, or community program coordination; or high school graduate and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
