Larceny Complaint Leads to Arrest of 22-Year-Old Lenoir County Man
On June 15, 2025, deputies with the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a stolen motorcycle at a residence in the 2200 block of Tulls Mill Road in Lenoir County.
The investigation, conducted by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office General Investigations Division (GID), revealed that the motorcycle—owned by the suspect’s grandfather—had been sold without permission. The motorcycle had been stored at a residence rented by the suspect, located at an address on Tulls Mill Road.
Investigators determined that Eric Elijah Jones, 22, of Lenoir County, sold the motorcycle to an individual through Facebook Marketplace. As a result, Jones was arrested and charged with Obtaining Property by False Pretense and Felony Conversion. He was released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
