Shriners, Shrinettes help local Princess Peighton raise thousands for Victory Junction Camp

Lenoir County came together in a big way last night as two powerhouse organizations — the Lenoir County Shriners and the Shrinettes — united under one roof for a common mission: helping send children with serious medical needs to Victory Junction, a specialized summer camp located in Randleman, North Carolina.

The event was part of a fundraising effort led by Peighton, who currently holds the title of Baby Miss Princess of North Carolina. As part of her reign, Peighton is tasked with raising at least $500 for Victory Junction. But with the overwhelming support from the Shriners — including a $3,500 donation presented by the Potentate, president of Shrine chapters — she is now just shy of her expanded $5,000 goal to send two children to camp. So far, she has raised an impressive $4,100.

Victory Junction is a medically safe, fully accessible camp that empowers children with serious health conditions to experience the joy of childhood activities like zip lining, archery, fishing, and swimming. Since opening its gates, Victory Junction has delivered over 139,000 camp experiences across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia through summer programs, family weekends, and outreach efforts in 21 pediatric hospitals.

The Princess of North Carolina state court has been supporting Victory Junction since 2008, raising more than $462,000 to date.

To help Peighton meet her goal and change the lives of two deserving children, donations can be made at her official fundraising page: https://p2p.onecause.com/funraiseforvictoryjunction/jayme-williams-3
