Lenoir County Sheriff's Office Announces 2025 Camp LENOIR Sessions

Lenoir County Sheriff Jackie Rogers is excited to share an announcement from the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office regarding two upcoming sessions of Camp LENOIR (Leading Educated Noble-minded Optimistic Impressive Respected youth) this summer. This is a free, hands-on youth camp designed to give students a behind-the-scenes look at the vital roles emergency services play in our community.

"Camp LENOIR is more than a camp — it’s a chance for our youth to build lasting connections, develop leadership, and better understand the work we do every day to keep our community safe," Sheriff Rogers said.

Camp LENOIR invites students in sixth through 10th grade to explore the world of public safety and law enforcement. Campers will take part in engaging demonstrations and activities featuring the LCSO K-9 unit, Special Response Team (SRT), Traffic Unit and Lenoir County Communications. Participants will also tour the county jail and spend time with Lenoir County EMS and North Lenoir Volunteer Fire and Rescue.

Session 1 of the camp will take place at Lenoir County Courthouse from June 9–11. Session 2 will be at the La Grange Community Center, June 16–18.

Applications for Camp LENOIR can be picked up at the Lenoir County Courthouse or directly from your school resource officer. Given that space is limited, we encourage early application.

The camp is free to attend. For more information, please contact Deputy McWilliams at 252-686-2296 or Sgt. Garner at 252-229-2925
