Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 Annually
Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance and upkeep of all campus buildings and infrastructure. This includes performing routine and emergency repairs to ensure a safe and comfortable environment. In addition to supervising and directing maintenance technicians, the Maintenance Supervisor will also be actively involved in hands-on maintenance work as needed to address immediate concerns and maintain operational efficiency.
Qualifications
ยท High School diploma required; an associate degree from a regionally accredited institution is preferred
ยท Relevant training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position, including experience in one or more building trades
ยท Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw logical conclusions
ยท Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
ยท Ability to work independently but also be a team player
ยท Must have a valid NC driver's license
Working Conditions
ยท Must be able to work both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to varying temperatures
ยท Moderate physical activity requiring long periods of standing, walking, and periodic lifting of 50 pounds or more
ยท Must be able to ascend and descend ladders up to 25 feet high to carry out inspections and repair work
ยท Must be able to physically maneuver to access and repair equipment and buildings as needed
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The duties of the Maintenance Supervisor include, but are not limited to:
ยท Collaborate in the development of goals and objectives for the Maintenance Department
ยท Recommend improvements to existing standards, policies, and procedures
ยท Establish schedules and methods for providing facility maintenance services without disrupting scheduled campus activities
ยท Issue and complete work orders using the Asset Essentials work order system
ยท Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, and review the work of maintenance technicians
ยท Perform hands-on maintenance work to support the team and address immediate issues
ยท Train and coordinate training for staff in facility maintenance, safety procedures, and techniques
ยท Monitor and control supplies and equipment, including ordering tools and materials as needed
ยท Develop and organize preventive maintenance programs for all campus locations, and maintain records in the Asset Essentials system
ยท Perform regular building inspections to identify and address potential issues
ยท Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems
ยท Collaborate with contractors and other campus professionals as needed
ยท Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
ยท Ensure work sites remain clean, safe, and orderly
ยท Comply with local and state building codes
ยท Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
