Kimberly’s Boutique marks two years as Pink Hill hidden gem
Kimberly’s Boutique has spent the past two years building a loyal customer base from an unlikely location in the countryside of Pink Hill.
The boutique, owned by Kimberly Bielby, is located at 903 Jonestown Road in Pink Hill, behind the owners’ home in what was once her husband Earl Bielby’s former tobacco curing barn. Bielby said the business grew out of more than 30 years of experience selling clothing and accessories as a vendor at shows and events.
Rather than opening in a larger city, Bielby said she intentionally chose a small-town setting where personal connections are easier to build. She said customer relationships are central to the boutique’s identity, creating a shopping experience that is more relaxed and personable.
During the first year, Bielby said there were concerns about whether customers would travel to a rural location. Those concerns eased as word of mouth spread and shoppers continued to return.
Kimberly’s Boutique offers curated clothing and accessories and emphasizes customer service. Bielby said the community response has been positive, with a wide range of customers and steady support since opening.
The boutique has participated in community events such as the Pink Hill Parade and the Deep Run Parade and maintains an online presence through Facebook and shipping options to reach customers outside the immediate area.
Looking ahead, Bielby said her focus is on steady growth while maintaining the boutique’s personal approach and strong ties to the community.
