Data Analytics & Improvement Strategist
The Data Analytics & Improvement Strategist is responsible for collecting, querying, analyzing, and transforming institutional data into actionable insights that drive continuous improvement in student experience and achievement. This role supports strategic planning, institutional effectiveness, and compliance efforts, while also assuming key research responsibilities. The Strategist works collaboratively with the Institutional Effectiveness and Online Learning teams and senior leadership to ensure data accuracy, timely reporting, and the effective use of information for decision-making.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree from an institutionally accredited college or university and a minimum of 18 graduate hours in mathematics, statistics, higher education, educational leadership, assessment and evaluation, information technology or a related field
· Previous experience in project management and/or data analysis; experience in a higher education setting preferred
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Datatel, Informer, SAS, SPSS)
· Experience using artificial intelligence tools to increase efficiency and productivity preferred
· Familiarity with Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges standards preferred
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
· High attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
Working Conditions:
· Typical office environment
· Frequent collaboration and public speaking, both in-person and virtual
· Frequently sitting at a desk or workstation using a telephone, computer, keyboard, and mouse; some standing and walking
· Occasional travel to additional sites or buildings
· The position is eligible for a hybrid/flexible work arrangement
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The duties of the Data Analytics & Improvement Strategist include, but are not limited to:
· Assist with institutional planning and effectiveness initiatives by collecting, querying, analyzing, and managing data related to institutional effectiveness and preparing accessible, technically sound reports and presentations

· Conduct analyses related to college performance and student success and suggest associated plans for continual improvement
· Support the implementation and assessment of the institution's Quality Enhancement Plan: https://static.lenoircc.edu/pdf/sacscoc/qep.pdf (Download PDF reader)
· Assist with the timely reporting of state and federal reports including IPEDS and NCCCS reports
· Assist with the compiling data requested by administration, faculty, and staff
· Assist with the creating and administration of student evaluations of faculty and courses and other surveys
· Assist with faculty credentialing and credentialing reports required for SACSCOC compliance
· Assist with research projects and special assignments
· Other duties as assigned by the President, the Vice President of Instruction and Student Services/SACSCOC Liaison and the Dean of Institutional Effectiveness and Online College
