Kinston residents no longer have to travel far for authentic Mediterranean food. Shawarma House has opened its doors, offering fresh, high-quality dishes made with care and tradition.
“We decided to open Shawarma House in Kinston because people were traveling to other towns just to enjoy shawarma,” said Maryem A., social media manager for the restaurant. “We wanted to be the first to bring it here—so locals can enjoy delicious meals close to home.”
The restaurant, located at 1004 West Vernon Avenue in Kinston, serves a variety of Mediterranean and Arab favorites, including gyros, shawarmas, salads, grape leaves, falafel and more. Everything is made fresh, with halal meats, homemade marinades, and bread baked daily.
“Our goal is to provide our customers with meals that taste amazing, look appetizing, and are affordable,” Maryem said. “Every shawarma is cooked to order with sauces and sides made from scratch. We don’t just serve food—we serve the real shawarma experience.”
Shawarma House is open Monday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
