Cypress Creek Renewables Invests in Lenoir County’s Future with $75,000 Community Commitment

Durham, N.C. — (November 7, 2025) — Cypress Creek Renewables (Cypress Creek) has announced a $75,000 investment in Lenoir County to support initiatives that advance education, workforce development, social services, veteran programs, and other community needs. This commitment reflects Cypress Creek’s ongoing pledge to be a good neighbor and create meaningful, long-term benefits for local communities.

“We are honored to support these outstanding organizations that help make Lenoir County such a vibrant place to live, work and thrive,” said Michael Forte, senior project developer for Cypress Creek. “The dedication and generosity of this community are truly inspiring, and we’re proud to support the values that make this area so special.”

Funding initiatives include:

Mary’s Kitchen, $5,000 – Initiatives dedicated to providing food to those in need

Lenoir Community College, $15,000 – Initial funding for a trade scholarship endowment

Lenoir County Education Foundation, $10,000 – Funding to support LCS teachers

Engage LA, $10,000 – Improvements to main park in downtown La Grange

Lenoir County Community Foundation, $15,000 – Donation for local grant programs

Lenoir/Greene United Way, $15,000 – Support for current programs and future endowment

“We are very grateful to Cypress Creek Renewables for this generous grant,” said Molly Taylor, executive director of the Lenoir/Greene United Way. “We look forward to a long and rewarding partnership with Cypress Creek as we continue serving our community.”

These donations were finalized through collaboration with engaged community members in Lenoir County who provided valuable input to guide Cypress Creek’s local investment decisions. To date, the company has commercialized over 67MWac of solar projects in the county and, in May, received zoning approval from the Board of Commissioners for its Moseley Creek Solar project – a proposed 70MWac solar facility paired with 28MW of battery storage in La Grange.
