Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Searching for Missing K-9

This morning, October 4, 2025, K-9 Fuse, a fully trained police dog with the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office, escaped from his kennel and walked away from his residence located on the 1700 block of Institute Road, just off US 258 near the Greene County line.

Since the time of his disappearance, numerous personnel from the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office, Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Kinston Police Department and Lenoir County Emergency Management have been actively searching the area in an effort to locate K-9 Fuse

K-9 Fuse is an essential member of our law enforcement team, and his safe return is a top priority. We urge the public to be on the lookout for him, but do not attempt to approach or catch him. If you see K-9 Fuse or have any information regarding his whereabouts, please contact Lenoir County Communications immediately at 252-559-6118.
