No injuries reported in Kinston shooting, suspect sought
On April 2, 2024, at approximately 5:00 pm, members of the Kinston Police Department responded to a report of a shooting that had taken place near the 2100 block of Viking Dr. Kinston, N.C. Officers made contact with the victims, and through further investigation with witnesses in the area, it was determined that there was a large fight in the area involving both males and females. Near the conclusion of the fight, an unknown assailant retrieved a firearm from a nearby vehicle and fired several shots into the victim's occupied vehicle. No injuries were reported, and Kinston Police Detectives are following up with this case.
