La Grange teacher charged with assaulting student

Lenoir County Sheriff's Office posted the following on their Facebook page:

A La Grange Elementary School teacher has been charged with assaulting a child at her school.

On Friday, March 8, the LCSO was notified of a potential assault that occurred between Crystal Taylor, a second-grade teacher at the school, and a student. The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office has charged Taylor with one count of assault on a child under 12.

The incident was reported by school administration, who immediately suspended Taylor. She was charged by the LCSO following the investigation by deputies.
