Two Arrested in Kinston for trespass and firearms violations

Officers from C-Squad and the Violent Crime Action Team attempted to check out with two subjects for a trespass violation. When the offenders saw the officers, they fled on foot. Officers apprehend the offenders and located 2 firearms. One of the firearms was previously reported stone from Elizabeth City, NC. The offenders were identified as Zion Johnson (22 of Kinston) and Shy'hiem Stroughtonsheppard (20 of Kinston). Both offenders were arrested and charged with the following:

Zion Johnson

-Possession of a Stolen Firearm

-Resisting Public Officer

-2nd Degree Trespass

-Possession of Firearm by Felon

-Unrelated Orders for Arrest Served (7 counts)

-Unrelated Felony Warrant (Interfere Electronic Monitor Device, Pasquotank County)

Shy'Hiem Stroughtonsheppard

-Possession of Stolen Firearm

-Resisting Public Officer

-2nd Degree Trespass

-Unrelated Orders for Arrest Served (2 counts)
