LCC Baseball stars receive Whitfield-Minor Scholarship for Excellence

Baseball Hall of Famer George Whitfield created an annual scholarship through the Lenoir Community College Foundation honoring the memory of Gilmer Minor, III who played college football and baseball and who continued to support athletics throughout his life. The scholarship was recently awarded to LCC Baseball players Brandon Warren and Jacob Strimple, players who exemplify excellent character and exceptional work ethics, qualities that were admired by Minor.
