Pitstop Car and Truck Accessories joins The Ultimate Body Shop under new ownership

The Ultimate Body Shop, known for its collision work, has undergone a change in ownership, heralding the arrival of Pitstop Car and Truck Accessories to the Kinston community. Situated at 1710 W New Bern Rd, the establishment was acquired by Derrick Stalnaker, Chris Davis and their family, natives of Kinston.

Stalnaker, who previously operated a business named Pitstop Car and Truck Accessories in Greenville, shared insights into the strategic move. "We bought The Ultimate Body Shop as is," Stalnaker affirmed. "Nothing is going to change with it. It's going to be the same shop just like it's always been."

Pitstop Car & Truck Accessories offers an extensive array of automotive enhancements, including lift kits, full-service oil changes, brake and suspension services, as well as an assortment of wheels and tires. Moreover, the establishment specializes in catering to commercial clients, providing tailored fittings for various professions such as electricians and plumbers.

The decision to relocate from Greenville to Kinston was grounded in the acquisition of The Ultimate Body Shop, as managing both locations simultaneously would have posed logistical challenges for the family. "We've been after these guys to try and buy The Ultimate Body Shop for a few years," explained Stalnaker, who has spent his entire life in Kinston. "We've done body work and collision stuff pretty much my whole life."

Davis, another key figure in the transition, expressed their commitment to customer satisfaction. "We want our customers to come back," Davis emphasized. "We want them to leave satisfied and visit us again for their future needs."

In addition to maintaining the legacy of The Ultimate Body Shop, Stalnaker and his team aim to introduce the community to Pitstop Car and Truck Accessories, offering an unparalleled range of automotive enhancements. "We'll be offering running boards, lift kits, wheel and tire packages, bed covers, rain guards, and more," Stalnaker outlined.

The fusion of these two automotive hubs represents a significant milestone for the Kinston area, bringing together expertise in collision repair and automotive customization under one roof. As Stalnaker aptly summarized, "We've taken over The Ultimate Body Shop and also, in addition, added Pitstop Car and Truck Accessories in the same location."

With a legacy of excellence and a renewed commitment to serving the community, the newly revitalized automotive destination stands poised to meet the diverse needs of Kinston residents for years to come.
