Help wanted: Department of Social Services - Administrative Assistant III
As a member of the Department of Social Services with Lenoir County Government, you can make a difference! The agency is seeking candidates for an Administrative Assistant III. An Employee in this classification functions as a management assistant to the Director of Social Services. This Employee serves as a member of the Director's Leadership Team, and provides support to Division leaders of the Agency's leadership team and the Agency's Board of Social Services. An Employee in this class must have the ability to delegate, establish and maintain effective working relationships with varied agencies or businesses. This individual must be able to explain policies and procedures as well as State and Federal requirements. You must have the ability to work independently, using sound decision-making skills.
Minimum Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent and six years of progressively responsible clerical experience; must be able to interpret State and Federal requirements
• Possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License
• Pass a criminal background check
• Excellent communication skills a must
