Snow Hill PD arrest Break In Suspect

Snow Hill - According the the Snow Hill PD Facebook post, On 09/18/2023 SHPD responded to St. James AME Zion Church located on W. Harper Street. The church had been forcefully broken into, and the tithes and offerings had been stolen. SHPD Officers processed the crime scene and submitted evidence to the Pitt County ID section for analysis. 18-year-old Heaven Elliot was interviewed as a suspect; other corroborating evidence was received from the Pitt County Sheriff's Office ID section that indicated Mr. Elliot as the perpetrator of the crime. Elliot was arrested on 09/28/2023 and charged with Breaking and Entering a Place of Worship, and other larceny-related charges. He was placed under a $40,000 secured bond at Greene County Detention Center. Snow Hill PD would like to thank the Pitt County Sheriff's Office ID Section for their prompt assistance.
