Major Motor Vehicle Collision Closes Hwy 70 in Kinston

Emergency responders are on the scene of a major vehicle accident at 600 W New Bern Rd (Hwy70). One vehicle is overturned with a patient entrapped and power lines are down. Hwy 70 is closed in both directions from Hwy 11/55 to US 258 S. Responding units include Southwood and City Of Kinston Fire Departments, Lenoir County EMS, and NCSHP. Vidant EastCare has also been called to land on the scene.

Hwy 70 will be closed for an undetermined amount of time.
