LCC presents A Christmas Carol - A New Musical

Get ready for the holiday season this November as Lenoir Community College presents A Christmas Carol ~ A New Musical, in partnership with the LCC Foundation and Fine Arts Department.  Coming to the stage in LCC’s newly renovated Briley Auditorium November 11 – 20, this show is sure to put everyone into the holiday spirit.

This musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel, A Christmas Carol, brings the traditional story of Scrooge to life on the stage. Written by Keith Ferguson and Bruce Greer, and directed by LCC’s own, Jessica Cruz, this musical theater adaptation is faithful to the words of Charles Dickens and has been performed by professional theaters, community theaters, schools, and churches in the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom over and again in recent years.

LCC is thrilled to have the involvement of members of the local community, as well as LCC faculty, staff, and students.  “It has truly been a community effort, with donations from our local community, set building by faculty and staff on campus, and a great deal of hard work put in by the performers from our local community,” said Dr. Timothy Maddox-Fisher, Associate Vice President of Instruction and Institutional Effectiveness at Lenoir Community College.

“What an awesome opportunity for our service area to have this theatrical space and such a quality performance to come out and enjoy at this time of year. Jessica Cruz, our Fine Arts Program Chair, has done fantastic work pulling together the entire community for a show you won’t want to miss,” he added.

Celebrate the holiday season with a 13-piece orchestra, 38-member cast, new seating and performance space, and state-of-the-art sound and lighting system for the first show presented in LCC’s Briley Auditorium since renovation.  Coming November 11, 12, 18, and 19 at 7:30 p.m., and November 13 and 20 at 3 p.m., don’t miss A Christmas Carol ~ A New Musical.

Tickets range from $12 for children ages 3-12, to $25 for reserved orchestra seating.  Tickets are available at https://our.show/lenoirccachristmascarol or by calling the LCC Foundation at 252.233.6824.
