Meet the Ghosts of LCC's production of A Christmas Carol

Get ready for the holiday season this November as Lenoir Community College presents A Christmas Carol ~ A New Musical, in partnership with the LCC Foundation and Fine Arts Department.  Coming to the stage in LCC’s newly renovated Briley Auditorium November 11 – 20, this show is sure to put everyone into the holiday spirit.

This musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel, A Christmas Carol, brings the traditional story of Scrooge to life on the stage. Written by Keith Ferguson and Bruce Greer, and directed by LCC’s own, Jessica Cruz, this musical theater adaptation is faithful to the words of Charles Dickens and has been performed by professional theaters, community theaters, schools, and churches in the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom over and again in recent years.

Ava Howard plays Christmas Past and is a member of the ensemble. A student at the Lenoir County Early College, she hopes to pursue a career in veterinary medicine at North Carolina State University.

Okisha Reneé Wells, also known as O'NAÍ, is a singer-songwriter, musician, and actress. She is playing Christmas Present and is a member of the ensemble. She has over 25 years of experience in musical theater with local and national players. She is a 2009 American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), NYC graduate and has been featured in productions such as Show Boat, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Wiz, and The Best Little Whore House in Texas, to name a few. She not only has graced theater stages but has performed as lead vocalist for jazz, funk, and pop bands. She still dreams of performing on a Broadway stage and releasing an album composed of her own material. She said yet her biggest aspiration is to leave a great platform for her daughter to stand on.

Marcus Jones is playing the role of Christmas Future and Dick Wilkins. He has participated in several musical productions at LCC. He is currently a student in the LCC Music Program and works full time at US Cellular. He’s performed in many places and casted in several shows before like Smiles and Frowns Theatre in Ayden, and Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World in Florida. He is super excited to be back on stage performing again.
