Jones County Community Foundation awards more than $3,400 in grants

The Jones County Community Foundation (JCCF) has awarded $3,440 in grants to programs supporting the local community.

The board of advisors granted:

  • $585 to Coastal Women’s Shelter, Inc. for operational support and relocation assistance for Jones County residents who are victims of domestic violence

  • $700 to Jones County Public Library for the Art of Self Esteem program

  • $1,000 to The Filling Station for general operating support that benefits Jones County residents

  • $1,155 to Trail of Faith Farms for scholarship funding for Jones County residents

Funds for the grants came from JCCF’s community grantmaking fund.

“We’re happy to support these organizations that make Jones County a great place to live and work,” said Joan Taylor, advisory board president of the Jones County Community Foundation. “We believe in investing in our community.”

JCCF is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation and is led by a local volunteer advisory board. Each year, JCCF uses dollars from its endowment fund to make grants to local nonprofit organizations.
