North Carolina Main Street recognizes Raine Tyndall

North Carolina Main Street recognized Raine Tyndall for her work with Pride of Kinston. Tyndall currently serves as co-chair of the Pride of Kinston Board of Directors.

“All of us at Pride of Kinston Downtown Revitalization are proud of Raine’s recognition and feel fortune and blessed to have such a dedicated individual on our team. She is an inspiration to us all,” said Pride of Kinston Executive Director Leon Steele.

Tyndall began as a volunteer on the Promotions and Events Committee. Her work with the board and her volunteering throughout the community has benefited Pride as well as the community.

“Raine Tyndall is a huge asset to Downtown Kinston. She devotes all of herself and her time to making downtown Kinston a place people want to visit. Her energy has brought a renewed sense of vitality,” said Pride of Kinston’s Board Chair Terry Humphrey.

Tyndall was the former Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Year for her work in attending and coordinating Chamber events, including ribbon cuttings, Business After Hours and the BBQ Festival on the Neuse.

“Volunteering is a passion of mine and Kinston offers the best vibe around,” said Tyndall. “Working alongside friends to make a difference is always fun. I feel so honored and humbled to have been recognized.”

North Carolina Main Street works to promote economic development and historic preservation for downtown revitalization. Over 111 communities in North Carolina have benefited from the program. Without the continued efforts of volunteers like Tyndall, the successful program would not be able to grow the economies of North Carolina.

Tyndall is also involved in the local rotory club, the arts council, and the chamber of commerce. She's a skilled fund raiser who promotes Kinston with her passion and her dedication.
