Parrott Hosts Santa and Grinch

Parrott Hosts Santa and Grinch

Parrott Academy kindergarten students welcomed Santa and Mrs. Claus to their classrooms on Dec. 12th.  During his special visit, Santa shared a book with students, noted their gift requests, and posed for photo opportunities.

During a post-departure interview, Santa reported that this season’s most requested gift so far has been skateboards.  “I guess after masks and social distancing, kids want to be outside more,” Mrs. Claus opined.

The Grinch crashed the party at Parrott Academy’s Dec. 3rd Holiday Concert, but was chased away by reindeer, Christmas trees, and Frosty the Snowman.

Who’s top of the Naughty List this year?  Santa thoughtfully considered world figures from Vladimir Putin to Prince Harry, but definitely settled on “Scrooge!”  When asked what he’s most looking forward to on December 26th, he quickly responded “Naps.”  He attributed his centuries of longevity to “my ability to look forward each day of the year to this wonderful time of Christmas.”

Fortunately, the Parrott campus had earlier been cleared of the Grinch, who made a special appearance at the school’s Holiday Concert on Dec. 3rd.  Transition through fifth grade students enjoyed the middle school and upper school string orchestra, guitar ensemble, and chorus performing Christmas classics.  The Grinch sneaked in but was removed from the venue by a security detail of dancing reindeer, Christmas trees, and Frosty the Snowman.
