Lenoir County wins in state budget

Raleigh, N.C. – NC Senate Majority Whip, Senator Jim Perry and Representative Chris Humphrey announced they have secured budget funding for the following Lenoir County projects and organizations:

Town of Lagrange - water infrastructure assistance $10,280,000
Lenoir Community College - Aviation Education Center / GTP $25,000,000
NC Global Transpark - Economic Development Projects $16,000,000
The Gate of Lenoir County - Youth Programming $ 500,000
City of Kinston - Grant Replacement Request $ 100,000
Lenoir County Government - Capital Offset $ 900,000
Hope Restorations - Recovery Assistance $ 250,000
Friends of the Homeless $ 250,000
Hugo Volunteer Fire Department - Capital Assistance $ 125,000
Lenoir County Courthouse - Repairs $ 550,000
Lenoir County Health Department Grant $ 137,794

This funding is comprised of a mixture of state and federal funds and each recipient must follow certain usage requirement guidelines.
