Jul 7 Jay's Restaurant Group confirms new restaurant in the old Boiler Room

A popular North Carolina restaurant is coming to Kinston. Jay's Restaurant Group manages a group of restaurants in Eastern North Carolina that specialize in Asian-American fusion cuisine.

Koji Kimura the manager of Jay’s Sushi & Burger Bar in Goldsboro confirmed that Jay’s was coming to Kinston.

“Where the Boiler Room used to be, that’s where we will be opening up,” said Kimura.

“Finally, we have confirmation of the popular rumor that Jay’s is coming to Kinston! What took you so long, Jay?” laughingly said Leon Steele, Pride of Kinston director. “This is really exciting news. Everyone has been waiting for this confirmation.”

“Funny, one business closed, four new ones open… during a pandemic. Talk about Kinston strong!” Steele said.

At this time a date was not provided for the opening as the details are still being worked out.
