Trenton native Will Sutton to compete in regional finale of NBC’s The Titan Games

Trenton native Will Sutton won his third episode of NBC’s competition sports show The Titan Games on Monday night, retaining his title as Titan and sending him on to the Eastern Regional finale.

After unseating the previous Titan in his first appearance, Sutton defended his title on the second episode of the Eastern Region’s competition. In his third appearance, Sutton once again retained his title of Titan.

In the episode that aired Monday, July 27, Sutton competed against challenger Josh Porter in the final Mount Olympus challenge. The two competitors were well matched, but after Porter fell exiting one of the obstacles, he seemed to slow down, and Sutton powered through to finish the course and win.

“Josh Porter is a beast! I knew he was going to be a force to be reckoned with,” said Sutton. “That guy is tough, and there is no question about that. I just got a little fortunate in that one.”

Winning the third segment of the Eastern Region means that Sutton will go on to compete in the Eastern Regional finals, which will air on Monday, Aug. 3 at 8 p.m. on NBC.

In the finals, Sutton will compete against the other Eastern Region runner-ups: Tyron Woodley, Andrew Hanus and Josh Porter. The winner of the Eastern Regional final will go on to compete against the Central and West Regional Titans in the final episode of this season of The Titan Games.
