The following inspections were conducted by the Lenoir County Health Department:

Queen Street Grill

1602 North Queen Street, Kinston

Score: 97

Inspection date: 2/25

Observations:

Hand sink in kitchen ran out of paper towels;

Heated onions and mushrooms were being held at room temperature - should be held at 135F;

Chicken and gravy was temping at 114-147F - shall be 135F;

Ham in prep unit tempted 43F, cheese in ice bath on prep counter tempted 50F - shall be 41F or below;

One thermometer was reading 38F in ice water - shall be calibrated to read 32F;

Several wet wiping cloths stored in first compartment of three-compartment sink - shall be stored in proper strength sanitizer;

Few dishes were stacked wet - allow to air dry before stacking;

Wall in refrigerator is bulging out and not fully attached - shall be in good repair;

Men's restroom did not have toilet paper;

Dumpster pad has standing water;

Small hole in wall behind toilet in women's restroom;

Observations:

Box of packaged raw bacon stored above plastic pan of bagged BBQ;

Door on walk-in chicken cooler has rust on the inside;

Repeat violation: Inside bottom of reach-in beside wrap station has some food spills;

Floor of walk-in in freezer needs additional cleaning;

Observations:

Top of shelving above prep units is dusty;

Under counter freezer beneath panini press has some food debris on bottom;

Lightning in bathroom is 3-footcandles when measured by light meter - shall be at least 10-footcandles.

Observations:

Bottom of reach-in freezer in storage room has food debris/crumbs;

Ring around toilet bowls in men's/women's upstairs restrooms; women's restrooms has toilet paper on the floor;

Observations:

Some pans had burnt residue underneath lip, sticky corners;

Dumpster door was open;
