The Manhattan Cigar Lounge offers Kinston a place to unwind

Kinston has a new place for local professionals to unwind and relax. The Manhattan Cigar Lounge opened on Saturday, Nov 14 at 5:00 pm. The lounge is located at 131 N. Queen Street in Kinston.

“The Manhattan Cigar Lounge is named as an homage to my late Grandfather, Mr. Willie O. Mills. Mr. Mills was an entrepreneur that owned Manhattan taxi stand, beer tavern, and bail bonding company in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, until his untimely death in a boating accident,” said owner Nicholas Harvey II.

Examples of cigars offered at the lounge will be Cohiba, Macanudo, Oliva, Punch, Acid, Drew Estates, Camacho, Montecristo, My Father, La Flor De, Rocky Patel, and Nub. Only cigars will be permitted at the lounge, there will not be cigarette or hookah smoking in the smoking lounge, which includes three large-screen televisions on the wall.

“Although the Manhattan Cigar Lounge will have a new look and a new theme, it will still be known for the class and community focus that the former had,” said Harvey.

The operational hours will be Monday – Closed, Tuesday – Closed, Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Thursday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Friday from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Saturday from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Sunday from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

“The Manhattan Cigar will be a place to relax and unwind with a premium cigar, good music, and great company,” said Harvey.

Surrounded by pictures of the Lenoir County greats, the lounge will also offer beer, both domestic and imports, as well as wine with a fine selection of reds and whites. Phase one of the plan is the first floor, and in the future, Harvey hopes to expand to the second floor.

Kinston musician Dick Knight will be performing next Saturday. The Manhattan Cigar Lounge hopes to have live music twice a month.
