Bad weather and COVID won't keep Pence from campaigning in Kinston

Despite the weather and staff members testing positive for COVID, Vice President Pence will be in Kinston on Sunday at 6:00 pm at the airport. Both Vice President Pence and second lady Karen Pence tested negative for COVID on Sunday.

Multiple sources have reported that chief of staff Marc Short and outside adviser Marty Obst, have tested positive for COVID. In a statement, Short “began quarantine and is assisting in contact tracing process.”

Three additional Pence staff members have also tested positive, the New York Times reported, citing a source who was briefed on the developments. Both President Trump and Pence are campaigning on Sunday despite the new COVID cases within Pence’s circle.
