Jonah Beaman, Arendell Parrott, baseball

Beaman had a trio of strong outings in the Patriots’ victories last week. The junior had a home run in a 12-6 victory over Wilson Greenfield March 12, followed by a 4-for-4 effort with two doubles, a grand slam and 5 RBIs in a 13-0 win against Harrells Christian the following day. He added another home run in a 22-0 victory over Fayetteville Christian March 15.

Favorite food: Steak

Favorite musical artist: Chance The Rapper

One place he would like to travel to: California

If he had a million dollars, the first three things he would buy are: A new house, a new car and a new house for his grandparents

Laura Wade, Greene Central, softball

Wade played a strong role in helping the Rams go 2-1 last week. The sophomore threw six strikeouts in a 6-0 loss to Washington March 12, but bounced back with a 3-hitter and five strikeouts in a 14-1 win over Eastern Wayne the following day. That was followed by a perfect game in a 15-0 win against Kinston March 15 with six strikeouts.

Favorite food: Macaroni and cheese

Favorite musical artist: Kenny Chesney

One place he would like to travel to: Bahamas

If she had a million dollars, the first three things she would buy are: A bigger house and a cool car before making charitable donations
