Jones Senior to hold benefit event to help senior citizens

TRENTON — Jones Senior High School will host its second annual Empty Bowls of Jones County event Thursday, March 14.

The event will be at the new gymnasium from 6-8 p.m., 1490 Hwy 58 South, Trenton. The cost is $15 for an advance ticket and $20 on the day of the event. Each ticket includes two bowls of soup, a drink and a handmade pottery bowl made by students and senior citizens.

All proceeds go toward the senior citizen food programs of Jones County.
