Greene Central forces three-way tie in EC2A
WASHINGTON — The Eastern Carolina 2A Conference is up for grabs after Greene Central’s 5-3 win over Washington Monday.
The Rams (12-2, 5-1) broke a 2-2 tie at halftime to deliver the Pam Pack (9-2-2, 5-1) their first loss in conference. North Lenoir is the third team with a 5-1 record in conference.
Ayden-Grifton defeats Kinston
The Chargers went up 7-0 at halftime and never looked back in a 9-0 win over the Kinston.
Axel Hernandez led the charge with four goals and an assist for Ayden-Grifton (3-8-2, 3-3), with Jehovany Martinez adding two goals and an assist. Humberto Torres had a goal and two assists, Jandery Angel and Roberto Mendoza added a goal each, and Ryan Baxter and Jackson Evans each provided assists.
