APA continues great week with win over St. David’s
RALEIGH — The Patriots are turning a corner as the season comes to an end, defeating St. David’s 1-0 Thursday.
Two days after a 7-3 victory over Grace Christian, APA (9-8) got a goal form Kolby Jones and eight saves from John Grice. The Patriots finish the season Friday against Cape Fear Academy at 4:30 p.m.

Arendell Parrott clinches fifth straight conference title
RALEIGH — The Patriots defeated St. David’s 25-13, 25-19, 25-14 in their regular-season finale to win their fifth conference title outright. Alli Grant Avery led the way for APA (18-3) with 21 kills, Virginia Edmondson had 11 and Mackenzie Pope provided 28 assists and four service aces.
Bethel Christian falls to New Bern Christian
NEW BERN — Bethel Christian’s six-game road trip is over, but it ended in a 25-18, 25-21, 25-20 defeat to New Bern Christian Thursday.
Laura Fulcher recorded seven kills for the Trojans (6-7) with Johanna Banks adding 10 assists. BCA will be home against Faith Christian Monday for Senior Night.
North Lenoir falls to West Craven
VANCEBORO — West Craven got the best of North Lenoir in a four-set match Thursday.
Reena Parris had eight kills for the Hawks (11-7, 5-4) with Paytyn Jones adding five and Kennedy Sullivan providing 12 digs. North Lenoir hosts Ayden-Grifton Tuesday.

RALEIGH — For only the second time in school history, the Patriots are undefeated. The team accomplished the goal with a 5-3 win over 7-time defending state champion St. David’s to go to 12-0.
