Schools:
Arendell Parrott Academy
Closed through Friday.
Bethel Christian Academy
BCA and Daycare will be on a regular schedule Wednesday, Sept 12.
BCA and Daycare will be closed on Thursday and Friday, Sept 13-14.
Athletic Events and the Senior Class Yard Sale will be cancelled on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
East Carolina University
All classes scheduled to start after noon on Tuesday will be cancelled for the remainder of the week. East Carolina University campus administrators are instructing students to evacuate residence halls on campus. Residence halls will close at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept.12.
Lenoir Community College
The College, all campuses, and the Passport Office are closed Wednesday through Sunday pending the threat of Hurricane Florence. The production of “Annie” has been rescheduled for Sept. 21, 22, and 23. Please monitor the College website, local media, LancerALERT and social media for updates.
Lenoir County Public Schools
Due to anticipated severe weather associated with Hurricane Florence, LCPS will be closed for students and staff Wednesday. Schools will remain closed for all students and staff on Thursday and Friday. All extracurricular activities for those days have been cancelled.
Jones County Schools
Schools will be closed Wednesday, August 12 until further notice.
Pitt County Schools
Pitt County Schools will be closed for all students and staff on Thursday and Friday, September 13th and 14th. We will also be closing three hours early on Wednesday, September 12th. All after school activities are cancelled for Wednesday as well. For PCS staff, we will be operating under condition 2 on Wednesday and condition 4 on Thursday and Friday of our inclement weather policies. PCS will announce any further updates, delays and closings on our website, through social media and with our partnering media outlets.

On Wednesday, September 12, Greene County Schools will dismiss at 12:00. Schools will be closed on Thursday and Friday, September 13 &14. All extracurricular events on all three days will be canceled/postponed.
