Event: Film Screening of "Isaac Pope: "The Spirit of an American Century” and Q&A with the Executive Producer

On December 17, 2018, the Kinston premiere of “Isaac Pope: The Spirit of an American Century” will be held at the Kinston Community Center, at 2602 Vernon Ave, at 7:00 p.m. This screening will commemorate what would have been Pope’s 101st birthday.

Pope was a Kinston native and a one-of-a-kind. He left an impression on the lives of many from his humble beginning on a tobacco farm, to becoming a veteran of the U.S. Army, to being one of the most “socially aware” people of his time.

Please come out to this amazing event, which is hosted by the City of Kinston and Mayor Dontario Hardy, because it will be a night to remember! The Producer, Paula J. Caplan, will respond to questions after the screening. The event is free and open to the public.

For questions about the event please contact Debra Thompson, City Clerk at 252-939-3115 or debra.thompson@ci.kinston.nc.us.
