East Carolina University, located in Greenville, traces its origins to the East Carolina Teachers Training School, which came into existence amid substantial controversy in 1907. The Kinston Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in locating Bryson Bradley, 21 years old, who is wanted in connection with the murder of Korie Williams on September 20, 2024. Bradley has been evading authorities since the incident, and law enforcement is actively seeking his arrest.
On March 9, 2025, Kinston Police Department (KPD) officers responded to a breaking and entering at Exotic Tobacco and Vape, located at 805 Hardee Rd. Upon arrival, officers discovered the front door had been smashed open with a large brick.
When, officially, Lenoir County Public School students get the day off Friday – a teacher workday – nearly 300 of them will be up to their safety goggles in science learning. They’re competitors in LCPS’s annual Elementary Science Olympiad.
