On 08/16/2024 at 3:20am SHPD was dispatched to the Speedway located at 1102 Kingold Blvd. to investigate a reported armed robbery. SHPD arrived on scene at 3:21am. Deputies with Greene County Sheriff's Office also responded to assist.

In the early hours of August 14, 2024, at approximately 1:37 a.m., officers from the Kinston Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Circle K located at 2011 W Vernon Ave.

Jerry Eddie Sutton, 85, of Williston, SC passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 10, 2024. No formal services are planned at this time.
