The City of Kinston is set to apply for a state grant aimed at improving the resilience of its electric distribution system. Meta Mae Williams Kennedy, 92, passed away on May 30, 2024, at UNC Lenoir Hospital in Kinston, North Carolina. A Celebration of Life will be conducted Monday, June 3, 2024, at 11AM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
Karen Jackson Skinner, 79, passed away at her home Friday, May 31, 2024. The Funeral Service will be conducted at 2pm Tuesday, June 4, at Faith Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, June 3, from 5- 7pm at Edwards Funeral Home.
