Lenoir County precinct location change
The Lenoir County Board of Elections has announced an immediate change in the voting location for the Kinston 4 voting precinct. The previous location at Tanglewood Church of God is being replaced by the Kinston Church of Christ, located at 1901 Sunset Ave, Kinston, NC 28504. Voters will cast their ballots in the fellowship hall of the new venue.
Veteran's United buys two books for every Jones Senior High School student
Veteran’s United has made it possible for every single student at Jones Senior High School (JSHS) to take home two books for free. There are 522 students that attend JSHS. The value of this donation of 1,044 books could range from $6,000-$20,000.

In April, the City of Kinston announced the formation of an advisory board, The Historic Grainger Stadium Commission, aimed at preserving and promoting the city’s iconic baseball stadium.
