Carol Rouse Simmons passed away with her husband, Gerald Simmons, by her side at home on Monday, July 17, 2023 in Raleigh, North Carolina at age 86. A private family graveside dedication of the head stone and a portion of Carol’s ashes will take place in Kinston in the fall.

Julian Evan Taylor has outstanding warrants from Harnett County for second degree kidnapping, common law robbery, assault on a female and communicating threats. The Greene Sheriff's Office is asking for assistance in identifying a suspect from a breaking and entering that occurred to a residential outbuilding late Monday night 07/24/2023 in the Jason Area. The unknown suspect left with various tools.
