Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office K9 Ziva will receive a bullet- and stab-protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. K9 Ziva’s vest is sponsored by Christopher Campanale of North Kingstown, R.I. and will be embroidered with the sentiment “Honoring those who served and sacrificed.” Delivery is expected within eight-to-10 weeks.

Lenoir County Emergency Services along with Sand Hill Vol. Fire Dept., and Hugo Volunteer Fire & Rescue are currently on scene of a vehicle accident that occurred this morning on Hwy 11 N, just outside of Kinston.

KPD responds to shots fired, charge with attempted murder
On Saturday, January 28th, 2023, at approximately 11:00 am members of the Kinston Police Department were called to the report of shots fired on the 800 block of Dixon St. Kinston, N.C. Upon arrival officers located several shell casings and discovered that a residence and vehicle had been struck by gunfire.
