On Tuesday, April 26, 2022, a 16 year old juvenile was arrested for his involvement in the shooting of Aldaquan Veal on March 15, 2022. The juvenile was charged with Attempted Murder and Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.
On Wednesday, April 27, 2022, Investigators obtained a secure custody order on a 16 year old male juvenile for Attempted Murder and Discharging a Weapon into Occupied Property. The charges are the result of a shooting investigation which occurred on February 2, 2022 in the Simon Bright Public Housing Complex.
On Wednesday, April 27th, 2022, members of the Kinston Police Department responded to the report of a shooting that had occurred on the 1500 block of Queens Road. Officers arrived on scene and determined that no one was injured and only property had been damaged.
