On November 11, 2021, there will be a professional baseball skills camp at Lenoir Community College. Major league Texas Rangers coach Turtle Thomas will be the lead instructor along with Down East Wood Ducks Pitching Coach Steve Mintz, Head Coach at LCC Gary Smith, and his staff.
The Down East Wood Ducks announced Thursday, they will host the second annual Beer and Batting Practice events presented by Down East Homes. Beer and Batting Practice will take place at Grainger Stadium on Thursday, October 28th and Thursday, November 11th.

The Down East Wood Ducks announced Tuesday, their plans to host the second annual Kinston Cornhole Classic at Grainger Stadium, presented by Poole Realty on Saturday, November 6th. The event will use the American Cornhole League Rounders Format which is a Progressive Round Robin tournament where all teams will be placed into a pool and six or more rounds will be played by each team.
Despite taking an early lead in the bottom of the second inning, the Down East Wood Ducks fell 4-2 to the Charleston RiverDogs in game one of the 2021 Low-A East Championship series, presented by Crown Equipment Corporation.

After winning in extra innings last night, the Down East Wood Ducks struggled at the plate as they fell to the Charleston RiverDogs 8-2 Wednesday night. Charleston plated six early runs and never looked back. Luisangel Acuña homered for the second night in-a-row to earn the Suddenlink Player of the Game.
Needing extra innings, the Down East Wood Ducks walked off the Charleston RiverDogs 7-5 Tuesday night in ten innings. Luisangel Acuña blasted a grand slam (11) to give Down East the walk off win and earn him the Suddenlink Player of the Game.
Zebulon, N.C. – Despite falling behind early, the Down East Wood Ducks clubbed three home runs against the Carolina Mudcats, taking the 5-2 win Sunday afternoon. Owen White (W, 2-1) finished with a career-high 10 strikeouts in six innings to earn the Suddenlink Player of the Game.
Zebulon, N.C. – After sweeping the doubleheader yesterday, the Down East Wood Ducks struggled as they fell 14-10 to the Carolina Mudcats, Saturday night. Carolina clubbed three home runs against Down East pitchers and all four allowed at least two runs.

Thanks to a four-error eighth inning, the Down East Wood Ducks defeated the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers 8-2, Sunday afternoon. Owen White finished with a career-high 12 strikeouts to earn the Suddenlink Player of the Game.
Acuna and Mateo homer
After jumping out to an early lead, the Down East Wood Ducks defeated the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, 5-1 Saturday night. Luisangel Acuña and Daniel Mateo each hit a home run to push the Wood Ducks to their 63rd win of the season.
After falling in game one, 1-0, the Down East Wood Ducks won game two of their doubleheader with the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, 7-0. John Matthews (W, 4-4) spun 5 2/3 scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts and Josh Stephan tossed five scoreless innings with seven strikeouts in his Wood Ducks debut earning the Suddenlink Players of the Game.
After falling behind early, the Down East Wood Ducks couldn’t overcome the early deficit and fell to the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, 5-1 Tuesday night. The Wood Ducks struggled with runners in scoring position, going one-for-five. Jayce Easley went two-for-two with two stolen bases, earning the Suddenlink Player of the Game.
The Down East Wood Ducks defeated the Fayetteville Woodpeckers 5-1 in the quickest game of the season, two hours and fourteen minutes. Nick Krauth (W, 4-7) delivered the first nine-inning complete game of the season for Down East and tallied nine strikeouts.
