Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Pink Hill Funeral Home with the funeral following at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of her sister, Jean Benson in Kinston.
Glenda Barwick Elmore was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, December 5, 2021. Funeral services will be held at Gordon Street Christian Church at 6 o’clock in the evening on Thursday, December 9, 2021. Family will receive friends for a time of visitation in the sanctuary in the hour before the service. Committal services will take place at Westview Cemetery on Friday, December 10, 2021, at 11 o’clock in the morning.
Cherrie Ward Smith passed away in the late hours of Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at UNC Lenoir Hospital.

Lois Jean Sutton Hoffman, 88, peacefully passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at Brookdale Union Park, Monroe, North Carolina.. A service of love and remembrance will be held in the chapel of Rouse Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Rosalind Harrison Wiggins passed away Monday evening, November 29, 2021 surrounded by her family. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation in the hour before the service, from 10-10:45 a.m., as well as other times at the home of her daughter, Maria. Committal services will be held at Fairview Cemetery immediately following funeral services.
Dr. Samuel Joseph Gilmore passed away peacefully at home on November 24, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Friends are invited to attend a celebratory service on December 4th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Kinston, NC. The family kindly requests facemasks be worn.
