Sandra "Sue" Plasky passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the age of 82. All services will be at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 400 Academy Heights Road in Kinston, NC. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4th beginning at 6:00 p.m. with the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. There will be a funeral Mass held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5th.
Dona H. Burrell, 64, of Wilmington, NC, passed away at her home on Monday, September 23, 2019, surrounded by her family. Dona’s requested celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 26, 2019, at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel, 4108 South College Road, Wilmington, NC, with the Rev. Margaret Hockett officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 27, 2019, at Forest Hills Cemetery, 4290 Old York Road, Rock Hill, SC, officiated by Errett Marshburn.
Richard Moore, 75, of Deep Run passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Vidant Medical Center. Visitation will be held at Howard-Carter Funeral Home, Tuesday, September 24, 2019 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral service will be held at Howard-Carter Funeral Home Wednesday, September 25, 2019 with Pastor Rick Mondell officiating with interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Emma Britt Davis Griffin, 93, of Cary, NC, formerly of Kinston, NC, died on September 20, 2019. After a private burial in Fairview Cemetery in La Grange, NC, a memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, September 26, at Queen Street United Methodist Church, 500 N. Queen St, Kinston, NC. The family will receive friends during the hour prior to the service.
Ilse Mages Rouse, 79, of Kinston, NC, passed away peacefully surrounded by her three sons on Friday, August 16, 2019, at the age of 79. Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 19, 2019 at Rivermont Baptist Church, with visitation to follow immediately after. A private burial service will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Jerry Ronald Daughety, 72, of Kinston passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at his home.
Visitation will be held at Southwood Memorial Christian Church Friday, August 16, 2019 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral will be held at Southwood Memorial Christian Church Saturday, August 17, 2019 with Pastor Andrew Shue officiating at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Lafayette “Fate” Smith, 95, passed away Monday, July 22, 2019. A service to celebrate and honor Fate’s life will be held Friday, July 26, 2019 at 11 a.m. from Rouse Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will be held at Westview Cemetery.
Eris Elizabeth Rouse Bias was on born March 3, 1923 and died July 19, 2019. She was 96 years old. As per her wishes, there will be no services. She will be buried next to her husband at Highland Memorial Park in Ocala, Florida.
Clyde Clifton Dunham Jr, 86, passed away July 8, 2019 at the North Carolina Veteran’s Home in Kinston. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 11, at 6:30 p.m. at 902 Church with Pastors Andrew Shue and Amos Sykes officiating. Visitation to follow. Burial will be at a later date. Donations can be made to Southwood Memorial Christian Church Dunham Music Fund, Southwood Volunteer Fire Department or The G.I. Joe Museum.
NEWPORT - Gale Marie Smith Turner peacefully passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019. Gale was born in Lenoir County to Lafayette Smith and Marie Ewell Spears on February 9, 1952. A service to celebrate and remember Gale’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2019, at Rouse Funeral Home, with Pastor Robbie Strickland officiating. Interment will be private at Westview Cemetery.
Michael Wayne Craven, of Kinston, passed away peacefully June 19, 2019 at the age of 70. Per Mike's wishes no services will be held.
Gisele O. Owens, 94, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 10 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Private interment will in Pinelawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday at Edwards Funeral Home from 6 to 7 pm, with a rosary service at 7 pm.

Funeral service will be held at Bethel Baptist Church, Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 6:00pm with visitation to follow. Graveside service will be held at Westview Cemetery, Friday, June 14, 2019 at 11:00am.

Funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m., with Danny Oliver officiating. Graveside Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2019, at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
La Grange – Raymond “Ray” Amyette, 64, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 after a brief illness. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 5th at 4 pm in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
