A local Project CHILD FIND effort is underway in the Jones County area to identify children and youth ages 3 to 21 who have disabilities and need special education and other services.
A meeting will be held on June 29, 2020 from 1:00 pm - 2:00 p.m. at Jones County Board of Education, 320 West Jones Street Trenton, NC 28585. The purpose of this meeting is to consult with private schools and parents of parentally-placed private school students as well as home-schooled students.
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA-Part B, Public Law 108.446) Project is presently being amended. The Project describes the special education programs that Jones County proposes for Federal funding for the 2020-21 school year.
