On January 6, 2024, Kinston Police Department’s D-Squad officers received information regarding a stolen motor vehicle from Pitt County. Officers quickly located the vehicle on the 400 block of E King Street and initiated a traffic stop.

On January 2, 2025, Snow Hill Police Department responded to 420 Kingold Blvd (Family Dollar) in reference to a larceny that had just occurred. Once on scene, officers learned that the female in the photo below walked out the of store with an undisclosed amount of items

On July 7, 2024, changes to North Carolina law necessitated adjustments to Trillium’s Governing Board. On July 19, 2024, in compliance with the new law, Trillium submitted a new proposed alternate board structure to NCDHHS Secretary Kody Kinsley for approval.
Throughout the last two weeks of December, the Lenoir County Street Crimes and Ready Response (SCARR) unit performed proactive enforcement throughout the county, which led to four arrests.
Kinston Police Officers made several arrests over the New Year’s, with a focus on impaired driving and a vehicle pursuit.
The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office requests the community’s assistance with identifying a person and vehicle associated with a larceny at Rivermont Baptist Church, 2478 US-258, Kinston. On Dec. 28, at approximately 10:30 am, an unidentified person drove onto the church property and stole two wheelchair access ramps (one aluminum ramp and one wooden ramp).
