Lenoir County land transfers
The following land transfers were filed with the Lenoir County Register of Deeds:
Eight arrested in Greene County Sheriff’s Office drug investigations
Over the last two months, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, along with NC ALE Agents, and Farmville PD Narcotics Detective, conducted several drug investigations throughout Greene County. During the last week Investigators served search warrants at three different locations, which lead to arrests on several felony drug charges.
Kinston Police seek help: 66-year-old Gary Jones missing
The Kinston Police Department has issued a plea to the public for assistance in locating 66-year-old Gary Jones, who was last seen near the Adkin Street Apartments. Jones, described as having a height of 6'02", was wearing a red sweater, gray shirt, and dark blue jeans with a notable gold accent on the front at the time of his disappearance.

The following inspections were conducted by the Lenoir County Health Department:
LCPS lands $52 million for new E.B. Frink Middle School
Lenoir County Public Schools has been awarded a $52 million grant for school construction. State Superintendent Catherine Truitt announced LCPS received the grant which will allow the school system to replace E.B. Frink Middle School. Previously, the Lenoir County Commissioners approved a $5 million match necessary to receive the grant.
40 MPH inland winds forecasted amid coastal storm
Minor to moderate coastal flooding is forecast for soundside locations from the northern Outer Banks southward to Frisco. Additionally, wind gusts of 45-50 mph are likely along the coast and near 40 mph for inland areas. A widespread 2-3" of rainfall is expected but a flash flood threat remains negligible.
Snow Hill Primary "Terrific Kid" Awards
Snow Hill Primary gives out a weekly award called "Terrific Kid" awards. Each teacher at SHP chooses a student who has been responsible, shows great character, or has reached a personal goal. LCC Awards the first two LEAP Fellows with Scholarships
Lenoir Community College awarded the first two Lancer Educator Apprenticeship Promise (LEAP) Fellows with a $1,000 scholarship.

Lenoir County duo arrested in stolen vehicle with firearm
C-Squad officers received information related to a vehicle stolen from Wilmington NC. Officers located the vehicle traveling on HWY 11 and initiated a traffic stop. The driver, Sklyer Potter (22, Lenoir County) and Andrea Milhoan (35, Lenoir County) were taken into custody. Milhoan, a convicted felon was also in possession of firearm. Both offenders were placed in the the LC Jail for the following:
Snow Hill man arrested for drugs, gun during traffic stop
Officers on C-Squad initiated a traffic stop with Dewyer Freeman (32, Snow Hill, NC). During the traffic stop officers observed narcotic violations. During a search, officers located over 50 grams of marijuana packed for distribution and a concealed firearm. Freeman was arrested without incident and placed in the LC Jail for the following:
Snow Hill resident arrested for multiple charges at McDonald's
Officers on C-Squad responded to a report of someone attempting to use a stolen bank card at McDonalds. Officers arrived and found Mohnee Bostic (26, Snow Hill, NC) at the scene in possession of the stolen bank card and a stolen vehicle. Bostic was arrested and charged with the following:
Kinston man faces DWI charges after S Queen license check
Officers on A-Squad were conducting a license checkpoint on S Queen Street. Officers encountered Bernard Smith (50, Kinston) and suspected impairment. Officers conducted their investigation and determined impairment. Smith was arrested for Driving While Impaired in placed in the LC Jail.
