On Thursday, February 2nd, 2023, members of the Kinston Police Department’s Violent Criminal Action Team (VCAT) and Narcotics Detectives with the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office concluded a three month drug trafficking investigation.

Jocelyn G. Vasquez, 15, was last seen Jan. 25 at North Lenoir High School. She is possibly in the area of La Grange near the Lenoir and Greene County line.
North Lenoir High School senior Claire Hollingsworth has been named a finalist for the Centennial Scholarship at NC State University, a four-year merit scholarship worth a minimum of $60,000, plus another $7,500 in enrichment grants.
The North Lenoir Fire & Rescue Annual Banquet was held at Falling Creek Country Club in Kinston, NC on Saturday, January 28, 2023. Members and their families gathered for a night of fellowship, celebration and recognition.
