Snow Hill Primary Terrific Kid awards

Snow Hill Primary gives out a weekly award called "Terrific Kid" awards.  Each teacher at SHP chooses a student who has been responsible, shows great character, or has reached a personal goal.  On Fridays, these students are presented with an award and are congratulated for their hard work.  Below are Snow Hill Primary's Terrific Kid Awards!

Coastal Plains livestock show returns April 6-7

The 86th Annual Coastal Plains Junior Livestock Show and Sale is right around the corner and we want to invite everyone to join us on April 6th and 7th at the Lenoir County Livestock Arena. Every year over 100 youth from Pitt, Greene, Lenoir, Craven, Jones, Carteret, Cumberland, Onslow, Duplin, Sampson, Pamlico, and Pender counties participate in this event.

Kinston High Students Kickstart Healthcare Careers with State Certification

Seven seniors at Kinston High School are entering the final months of high school with an added credential to their names. This fall, they earned their Certified Nursing Assistant credentials through the Lancer Academy, a career and technical education partnership with Lenoir Community College. In a single semester, the group completed the coursework, clinical hours, and state testing required for certification. All seven passed both the written exam and the hands-on skills test.
